Chunky pieces of sunshine have arrived from Italy!

The latest in our summer jewellery collections has arrived toady courtesy of the Italian designer Eliana Venier.

For the past three years Eliana has been creating quite a buzz at Milan Fashion Week with her innovative use of materials. Transforming 'ordinary objects' such as natural rope, climbing cord and cotton binding into sculptural necklaces that are incredibly easy to wear but can transform an outfit in an instance!

This collection was inspired by the vibrant colours found in African jewellery and the scale and shape is reminiscent of the elaborate beaded neck pieces traditionally made by crafts people in Mali. Which is perfect for this seasons Africa trend (see Marc Jacobs below). Why not use one of these necklaces to update a simple T-shirt or dress and bring some sunshine into your wardrobe?

Twisted Double Cord Necklaces, £69 each.

Available in Jewellery Room one - (please scroll along to your right to see Eliana's cabinet)
