What a beautiful necklace!

This was the comment I heard about twelve times when I recently wore one of our new necklaces to a party.

Following on from the success of Rheanna Lingham's first jewellery collection in the shop last autumn, we have launched Beetles & Feathers (scroll along to the second cabinet in Jewellery Room 1).

This new collection features necklaces and earrings created using the stunning iridescent wing of a Green Jewel Beetle*. Although the use of beetle wings in decorative arts goes back thousands of years they reached the height of popularity in Britain during the Victorian era with anything from brooches to cushion covers being made from them.

Rheanna's whole collection is guaranteed to make anyone feel elegant and a little special, with the sun shining on these wings and catching everyones eye!

*The use of these wings is fully ethical as, just like leather, they are a bi-product of the food industry - the beetle itself being a Thai delicacy.
